The Reese Technology Center is a research and business complex located on the former Reese Air Force Base in west Lubbock, in the unincorporated community of Reese Center.

Plainview City Council approved an economic development agreement with SWT Operations Holdings, LLC to bring Sutherlands HomeBase Store to Plainview.
Sutherlands HomeBase overlooks the former Kmart building at 2801 Dimmitt Road, which has been vacant for about 30 years, City Manager Jeffrey Snyder said at Tuesday night's City Council meeting.

Sutherlands HomeBase and HomeBase is a fourth-generation family-owned business, according to the company's website (homebaseusa.com/Our-History). The company was officially founded in 1917, but its roots can be traced back several decades.
